About Revision Ladder
Revision Ladder was founded in September 2026 by a working mum of two who wanted to make revision and study easier, more focused and less stressful for her own children.
Like many parents, she saw that her children didn't always need more work; they needed the right support in the areas they found difficult. Private tuition can be expensive, and schools often lack the time or capacity to provide every learner with regular one-to-one support. Revision Ladder was created to help close that gap.
Our approach goes beyond simply showing a learner what they already know. Revision Ladder focuses on where they need more support. When a learner answers a question incorrectly or struggles with a topic, that learning does not simply disappear once they move on. Those areas return in future practice questions, quizzes, and revision activities, giving the learner repeated opportunities to revisit the topic, strengthen their understanding, and eventually get it right.
We believe learning should build confidence rather than leave children feeling discouraged by the things they find difficult. That is why Revision Ladder is designed to adapt around the learner, helping them practise at their own pace while continuing to challenge and develop their knowledge.
Parents are part of that journey too. Revision Ladder gives parents a clearer picture of what their child is learning and how they are progressing. Through weekly progress reports, parents can see the subjects and topics their child has been working on, where they are doing well and where they may need more support. This helps parents understand their child's learning and supports conversations about their progress at school.
Revision Ladder was built around a simple idea: every learner deserves the chance to understand, practise, improve and try again.
From those first learning steps onward, we want Revision Ladder to provide learners and their families with the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to keep moving forward—one step at a time.
Safe by design
We built Revision Ladder with children's privacy at its heart:
- Minimal child data: children use a nickname only.
- No surveillance: there's no chat, and no tracking.
- Parents in control: parents control the settings, and can see and delete their data at any time.
